Our Company History
In 1996, Jacobi Decor was founded in a garage by Thomas Heinzen and his wife Petra. Due to space constraints, the garage was converted into a storage area, and the two-room apartment under the roof was quickly turned into an office. Then as now, our primary goal is to offer you the highest quality. Together with family and children, Jacobi Decor has grown into the family business it is today. In the early 2000s, the Cake Company was established. Cake Company is a brand of Jacobi Decor. At Cake Company, hobby bakers can access professional materials from Jacobi Decor and enhance their private creations.
Since 2009, you can find us in Troisdorf-Spich, where we expanded our warehouse by another 1,000m² in 2014. In 2012, Jacobi Decor Switzerland was founded. Two colleagues are responsible for everything related to the Jacobi Decor presence in Switzerland and serve our Swiss customers with our usual service.
For the past 10 years, daughter Ann-Kathrin has supported the Jacobi family and has been managing partner since 2015. In 2023, Thomas Heinzen retired and handed Jacobi Decor over into the capable hands of siblings Ann-Kathrin Uraz and Johannes Heinzen, who are bringing new momentum to the world of cake decoration.

Ann-Kathrin Uraz / Johannes Heinzen
Ann-Kathrin and Johannes Heinzen form the management team and now steer the company's affairs in the second generation.
Petra Heinzen
Petra co-founded Jacobi Decor with Thomas Heinzen in 1996. She is experienced in all areas and currently manages accounting and purchasing.
Jörg Meesters
Jörg is the good soul of Jacobi Decor. He always has an open ear and assists with any problem. Jörg has been involved from the very beginning (1996). He is a trained baker and is familiar with every area at Jacobi.
Jens Oprzondek
Jens is a trained confectioner who initially worked at Jacobi Decor. He gained extensive experience across the entire industry and returned to "home" in 2013. Jens manages our customers in the Braunschweig area. He offers many tips and is happy to share his knowledge with his clients.
Gabi Peters
Gabi joined Jacobi Decor in 2013. She initially assisted our customers by phone and on-site in Troisdorf, before moving to Hamburg. Here, she dedicates herself fully to fulfilling her customers' every wish.
Henna Sakkara-Döring
Henna has been part of the creative team at Jacobi Decor since December 2024. As a graphic designer, she brings her passion for colors, shapes, and design into every project – from the first draft to the final design. She creates unique, aesthetically refined concepts that visually inspire our clients and highlight the Jacobi Decor brand identity.
Karin Thalmann
Karin has been supporting Jacobi Decor Switzerland since 2023. She manages the entire internal sales team in Switzerland and always has an open ear for her customers.
Alex Litz
Alex is the youngest team member in the warehouse and has been with the company since 01.04.2024. He is responsible for all tasks related to order picking, packaging, and goods receipt.
Ute Cremer
Ute has been part of the Jacobi family since 2018, supporting the warehouse and production.
Dominik Tosovsky
Dominik is our warehouse manager and has been part of the team since 2013. He runs many kilometres through the warehouse every day to ensure all our customers receive their goods quickly. Thanks to him and his team, we can dispatch all packages promptly and keep our customers satisfied.
Nicola Kurscheidt
Since 2022, Nicola has been supporting the warehouse and production department. She works alongside her colleagues in our production facility to print all of our beautiful overlays as well as all custom overlays for our customers.
Saskia Mechler
Since 2024, Saskia has been supporting the Jacobi family. She is a trained pastry chef and office administrator. She advises our customers over the phone and on-site with her expert knowledge. Additionally, she creates our beautiful display pieces for the catalog, website, and other promotional materials.
Maria Wiehl
One of the colleagues who has been part of the Jacobi family the longest. For 20 years, she has been assisting our customers over the phone, providing advice, and offering valuable tips on our products. Additionally, she supports our customers in the area of custom printing.
Ruzica Kosutic
Rosi has been supporting our team in the warehouse since 2016. In production she is she is responsible for printing our popular ice cream cones
Nicole Schlüter
Nicole has been part of the Jacobi family for 14 years and supports our colleagues her extensive knowledge to support her colleagues in the warehouse and production.
Of all her colleagues in the warehouse, Nicole has been with us the longest. Jacobi Decor
Jacqueline Wego-Paulsen
One of the colleagues who has been part of the Jacobi family the longest. For 20 years, she has been assisting our customers over the phone, providing advice, and offering valuable tips on our products. Additionally, she supports our customers in the area of custom printing.
